Stock visuals are a staple in advertising. Still, they get a bad rap. This campaign sought to turn that stigma on its head.
The concept was inspired by the Fyre documentaries, revealing that more was spent on video ads than the event. Ads that could’ve been made better, faster, and cheaper with Shutterstock. Ditto for dating apps, travel ads, beer commercials, you name it.
This campaign won 8 industry awards, including a Webby, One Show, Wood Pencil, & Shorty Bronze Honor.
My role: Creative Direction, Concepts, Scripts, Taglines, Copy
Awards aside, the campaign garnered 300 press mentions throughout its run in 21 countries/12 languages.
As a 360 campaign, I was also responsible for direction and copy used in collateral including landing pages, emails, paid social, display banners, and affiliate marketing.
